Daphne Dempsey passed away Friday, July 26. She was being cared for in a private home in Bellevue, Washington. Peg Staeheli had arranged for her care and was with her holding her hand to comfort her at the end.

This blog is for descendants of Caspar Albert Staeheli and his wife Maria Staeheli of Guebsenmoos, Straubenzell, St. Gallen Switzerland. They arrived in the United States on March 23, 1899 with 12 of their 13 children. Their eldest son arrived in the U.S. in 1898 and a fourteenth child was born in the United States. This site is for a dialogue among descendants of Albert and Maria Staeheli. Additionally, there are two websites with permanent documentation of the Staeheli family.
